Rawa
Vintage Afro Pop Parties Celebrating Nigerian Heritage Music
RAWA is a vintage Afro Pop party that mixes legacy Nigerian music with contemporary songs, to introduce our heritage music to new audiences. RAWA has received a warm reception across Abuja, with events in the French Institute and Ekondo garnering scores of partygoers in each edition. In 2024, Rawa received a grant from the OneBeat Institute, a US Department of Education program, for our research and media production work.
Nigerian Funk*
Showcasing Iconic Nigerian Heritage Musicians
Nigerian Funk was born out of a desire to preserve and celebrate the rich sounds of Nigerian music from the 1970s to the early 2000s. Inspired by a lack of access to these timeless tracks growing up, the project aimed to document and reintroduce these iconic songs and artists to a new generation, bridging the gap in Nigeria's culture of preservation and creating a deeper appreciation for its musical heritage.
*Nigerian Funk is no longer run by Afrosonic, although our work in archiving and showcasing will continue in other projects

Golden Lady featuries producers: Johnson IP, SirBastien, Sute Iwar, Trill Xoe, DJ Lolu, Lobi the Creative and Hi Fuji.
